We are all deeply shocked and saddened to hear the news of the tragic death of former Aquatot Tazmin Pugh at the tender age of eighteen, despite the unfairness of this tragedy we want to remember and celebrate Tazmin’s talents and accomplishments.
Tazmin joined us when she was just six months old. Aquatots was in its infancy when Fiona welcomed Tazmin and her Dad Ian to our growing business. It was obvious from the start that Tazmin was ‘part-fish’ and with the foundation that we gave her throughout our swim programme, the support and guidance from her family and the dedication and commitment from Tazmin, she was soon on her way to being an outstanding swimmer!
By the time we welcomed her back and started sponsoring Tazmin in 2015 she had grown into a beautiful young lady, was swimming with the prestigious Ellesmere College Titans and was already breaking swimming records whilst travelling the world competing for her team and for England!
We were so proud of Tazmin when she was offered a place in the World Class ‘Podium Potential’ group which recognised her talent and capability of reaching the Olympics in 2020. We were pleased to be able to continue to contribute towards the equipment she needed, the training camps which were held four times a year and her attendance at swimming events through our sponsorship at this time.

Tazmin achieved an incredible amount throughout her young life! She aspired to be a tremendous swimmer and that dream was achieved, she travelled the world doing what she loved to do whilst representing her country - a feat most of us will never have the opportunity to do. We are proud to have known Tazmin, to have been part of her amazing swimming journey as well as having the pleasure of getting to know the kind, caring young woman that she grew to be.
We offer our deepest condolences to Tazmin’s family and family at this terrible time.
